While summer isn’t officially here yet for another week, the warm evening breezes have already begun. It’s a great time of year to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather we have been having. Add some friends, neighbors, cold drinks, snacks and live music to the mix and you’re sure to have a good time. One of the best places to gather to for some free live concerts is at MoonDance in Lexington Ky.

This outdoor amphitheater is popular place to hear local acts ranging from Big Band and Jazz, Top 40, and Bluegrass. Music lovers of all ages are welcome to bring lawn chairs or blankets to any of the events. Attendees can also bring snacks and even coolers while they picnic and enjoy some good tunes. Most events also have concessions with snacks and drinks for sale, and sometimes food trucks are parked nearby.

And MoonDance in Lexington Ky, really is in suburbia. The venue, which opened in 2010, is within walking distance from the large residential development of Beaumont. As you can imagine, the amphitheater is a popular spot for the neighbors! Other events held there include plays, opera, and dance festivals.

Beaumont is a great area of town. Residents can also walk to shopping and restaurants, the library, an ice cream parlor, and much more. Beaumont is off of Harrodsburg Road just outside of New Circle Road and five miles south of downtown.
