This is an exciting time for horse racing fans- and for anyone who loves the equine traditions of the Bluegrass. The Fall Meet begins at the end of next week at Keeneland in Lexington Ky. And at the end of next month the world will be watching as we host the Breeders Cup. Here’s a look at what’s happening at Keeneland in the coming weeks:
Breeders Cup Tour
The racetrack is offering special tours of the track promising an insider’s look at Keeneland’s connection to the Breeders Cup. The tours are just $8 but are nearly sold out. Tours are tomorrow, Thursday and Saturday of this week and Tuesday and Thursday of next week. Click this link for more information on the Breeders Cup Tour.
Fall Racing Meet
World class horse racing kicks off on October 2nd and the season runs through October 24th. Race days are Wednesdays through Sundays with no racing on Monday and Tuesdays. Gates open at 11am and the first race of the day is 1:05. General admission is $5.
This meet will be your only chance to splurge on some luxury seating by getting tickets for the Club House Chalet. This premium viewing area promises great views from the clubhouse turn.
